Before Doda took on her career in music, she was champion athlete trained by her father and she won lots of medals in her homeland of Poland! In 2000 at the age of 16 Doda joined a rock band called "Virgin" as the singer. But in 2005 she launched her solo career. She won best European act in 2009 at the EMA Awards and that is how she began to be really noticed on the international scene.
